Commissions

I am currently accepting commissions for dolls and sculptures of all sizes and subjects. In general, I work in either full-bodied poses, or busts.

Dolls: Are sculptures using a variety of mediums to give the impression that the subject is a small version of what it would be in real life. For example, a unicorn may have a mane of real fibres, and a person could have clothes made from real fabric, and would be sculpted in special doll clay that would not need to be painted. Sometimes people dolls can have soft bodies that can be flexed.

Sculptures: Use only one medium, for example, polymer clay. This medium can then be painted in acrylic or enamel. Unlike a unicorn doll, which would have a hair mane, a unicorn sculpture would have a mane made from clay sculpted to look like a mane.

There are no price differences between dols and sculptures.

 

Sizes and Price Guidelines


For creature dolls, such as Unicorns, Cats, Gryphons, Wolves, Dragons, etc, I find the fairest way to price is by the measurement of hindquarters to chest (as seen above.) This is because certain creatures may have long necks or tails, and others very short necks and tails, and such creatures could end up being a lot longer than a sculpture which would take similar effort to make.
For dolls of this type, prices are as follows; 2.5" (6.5cm) - 75USD. 3.5" (9cm) - 115 USD. 4.5" (11.5cm) - 150 USD. 5.5" (14cm) - 185 USD, and so forth. The most commonly commissioned size is around 4.5".


Similarly, Bust sculptures and dolls are priced according to their height from the base to the top of the head. Horns, frills, spikes, and other "headgear" do not count. I sculpt busts in 5" (12.5cm,) 6"(15cm,) and 7" (18cm.) They are priced 100USD, 140USD, and 180USD respectively.


Humans (humanoids) are usually around 8 "heads" high. As the head is a good indicator of the overall size of the body, and is also the most difficult thing to sculpt, I measure my human and human-based (faries, mermaids, centaurs, anthropomorphic, etc) sculptures this way. Head sizes I work with are as follows; 6/8", 7/8", 1", and so on up to 1.5" Prices start at 130USD and rise 30USD for each additional 1/8"
